Dayson, today marks your 3 month birthday. You have grown and changed so much. No longer do you have the newborn look or cry. Your face has filled out and you can definitely let us know when you're upset or hungry. Here's some highlights of the past month.
You still can wear some three month clothing, though most things have to be six month. As of early last week, you weighed in at 11lbs. 11oz. and are 24 inches long.
One sleepy baby after a full day.
On Thanksgiving day, we had so much to be thankful for. One of my favorite moments though was to hear you laugh for the first time. It came out of the blue while I was changing you and was the sweetest sound. You are happy most of the time now except for when you're tired or hungry. Sleeping has gotten better. I'm now up to at least 4 hours most nights. Last Saturday night you actually slept for six hours! It's progress and I'm more than thrilled with that.
Have I mentioned your love for standing yet? More often than not, you would rather be standing than sitting or being held close. You've gotten to the point to where you stand with just holding onto our fingers or leaning up against something. You haven't totally figured out yet though to keep your legs still instead of dancing all over the place. You've also been working on sitting up by yourself. I think you've been watching all the other little ones in the nursery and want to be just like them. We had you reclining in the boppy pillow and you kept pulling yourself up so that you could be sitting like the rest of us. You're definitely a very determined little boy.
I can't wait to see what this next month will bring. Maybe you could slow down a little for your mama.
