10 Months

Another better late than never post. Sammy J is now 10 months old...10 months!! I say it all the time, but it seems like time just keeps flying by. Wasn't she just born? I can't believe we have less than 2 months before she turns a year old. Here's some of the latest things that she's up to.

 

I just love this dress. It's my consignment store purchase for only $2.95.

 

We had our first really good snow recently. As you can see in the next picture, Samara was not impressed at all to be put in it. She screamed royally at us for it. She much more preferred to be inside looking out at Iyana play in it.

 

I just love these blue eyes of hers, remind me of Iyana's when she was the same age.

This was one of Iyana's outfits. It originally came with a hat but because of Samara's head size, it didn't fit. Love that she's able to wear some of Iyana's clothes, so glad I kept some things.

Crazy hair day!

She really loves trying to dress herself. As I was folding laundry, she kept grabbing underwear and putting it over her head. Didn't think she would appreciate a picture of that later on in life so I gave her a shirt to practice with. ☺

She loves the Christmas tree. She's more interested in pointing at the ornaments, though, there are times I see the whole tree swinging back and forth because she's found something to grab and pull.

 

Looking forward to celebrating Christmas this year (well, I love celebrating every year). There's just something about celebrating it with your baby for the first time. ☺

9 Months

So, I started this with the good intentions of having it posted at the beginning of the month...it's now the end of the month. Better late than never I guess.

 

Nine months always seems like such a milestone for my kids. It's the month they figure out how to walk. Samara it seems is no different from the other two. She actually took her first steps just before hitting the 9 month mark which is the earliest of them all. Right now, she walks around while holding onto furniture or our hands. She's gotten to the point of only holding one hand and letting go to take a few steps.

She's getting better about not putting everything in her mouth, but for some reason, she still loves to try and eat grass or leaves. Kind of gross if you ask me.

So serious...

As much as I want her to stay a baby, I'm looking forward to the next couple of months. Samara's personality has been blossoming and it's been so fun to see and hear. Love you little miss!

8 Months



I've had this sitting in my drafts folder waiting for me to finish it. Once again, I'm behind. Want to at least get this posted before little Miss turns 9 months in a couple weeks. Just going to put some pictures up for now, will do more of an update on her next post.

 

Need to mention here about her teeth. She ended up getting 4 teeth all within two weeks and two days of each other. Needless to say, it was a miserable time for her and I.

We saw it at Walmart and just had to get it.

This is how she crawls, it's kind of a one leg push and crawl all at the same time.

Zoo Trip

A couple weeks ago, Kara (Grammy Sheba) called to tell us that she had won tickets to our local zoo. It's been several years since we had last been there, so we were all excited to go. Especially now that Dayson is old enough to actually enjoy it (we'll have to go again sometime when Samara is older). The kids had a blast and really enjoyed seeing all the animals. And we couldn't have asked for better weather either, it was gorgeous out!

The Meerkats were so cute. Asked BJ if we could have one, you can guess what his answer was.
